2004 has been and exciting year already for TDI processing. We continue our long running relationship with Smith Residential Real Estate both in South Florida and Washington DC as well as a major Ft. Lauderdale Mall. But the truly exciting news is that one of our Systems is currently being tested by he United States Navy. 2004 is shaping up to be a great year for TDI and it's clients.

2005 The Navy test went very well. In fact the engineer for the ship asked if we could leave the unit on board. Unfortuneately protocal made us take it back. The test was run on one of the worst problems for scale the ship heat exchangers have. The heat exchanger is cooled by seawater and has 900 degree F air to cool. The unit we treated was heavily scaled and biologicaly fouled. The tube sheet had growths one would expect to see at a coral reef. When the ship returned to port after 6 months the tube sheet and tubes were clean and scale free. The biological growth was gone. The only scale left was where the 900 degree air made contact at a bend in the tubes; an area where there was turbulence, and some old scale remained. There certainly was no new scaling there. When we reviewed the film and pictures that evening with the man who took them we were all amazed at the results. The other heat exchanger that performed the same function had been acid cleaned before the ship went to sea. It was spotless according to the pictures. We did not treat this heat exchanger and it was totally scaled and had biological fouling on the tube sheet when the ship returned to port. Unfortuneately this heat exchanger will have to be acid cleaned. An engineer said it would not be necessary to acid clean the unit we treated, but we understand both heat exchangers were acid cleaned anyway, since this has been the practice. It appears that a shipboard pipe flushing acid waste system is to be purchased despite our results. It is unfortunate since the Electronic Descaler could delete much of the expense of acid cleaning and the need for millions of dollars in dockside pollution equipment. The Electronic Descaler only returns to nature what a process took, it does not add chemicals or heavy metals that acid cleaning does. We will continue to work with the Navy to improve treatment methods, save manpower, lesson or stop the need for acid cleaning of heat exchangers and keep shipboard heat exchangers and water equipment scale free and operational for much longer periods of time.

The Mall at Fort Lauderdale released the tube scan for its three 600 ton chiller condensers. The cooling tower condenser system had been treated with our Electronic Descalers for over a year and a half. The results of the scans were excellent. Trane Corp of South Florida had the tube scans performed and there was no corrosion and no difference from the previous tube scans. Each condenser has a 25 page report. Trane, The Mall and we were very pleased with the findings.

Smith Realty divested itself of its engineering group and we are reaquainting ourselves with the new group. We have a 40 page report showing 14% energy savings in a 400 plus unit condominium. We treated the cooling tower condenser system with our Electronic Descaler and Copper/Silver Ionizer. The sister building; which was treated with chemicals, showed no savings, since it was the same treatment as has been ongoing for years. This provided an excellent secondary test proof comparison. The engineer for both buildings stated that there was no changes to either building that would have affected electrical demand, except for our Electronic Descaler treatment.

A Condo/Hotel conversion in Coral Gables installed Electronic Descalers and Copper/Silver Ionizers for a total building treatment program. Their fountains are glistening and have no chlorine odor and are no longer killing the plants with chlorine excess. The water is crystal clear and there is no algae or cloudiness. The steam boiler came down clean for the first time. The Electronic Descaler was only on-line for 3 months. Inspections before this required clean out and 1/8 inch scale to be dealt with. We still have a piece of old scale in the file as a reminder. The Chief Engineer was amazed a non-chemical system could not only keep the cooling tower condenser system of the buildings chiller system from scaling; but there was no algae in the tower, the condensers actually cleaned up. According to prliminary A/C contractor reports the units are operating 20% more efficiently. We will have to wait for a full report with utility bills: if one can be done, since the building is undergoing extensive renovation. The energy consultant believes that it appears energy and water usage are down.

2006 will be an exciting year for T.D.I. Processing and it's clients. We have installed a new SB-2000 on a 14 inch steel cooling tower codenser line for 1800 tons of cooling for a test of the larger Electronic Descalers at a large Mall. The large units have the capability of handling water treatment requirements up 24 inch steel pipe and 40 inch non-ferrous pipe (plastic fiberglass etc,). We look forward to helping electric and water treatment utilities handle water treatment problems that they could not previously treat.

2007 The Mall unit is still being tested.

There is a new test occuring for energy and water savings in a side to side comparison with chemical treatment on two 250 ton sister cooling tower condenser comfort air systems at a large school system. As of the first month we have saved 4000 gallons a day during the summer and 3500 gallons per day in the cooler late fall weather. In the mild winter we still saved 3000 gallons a day in water usage, versus the chemically treated cooling tower condenser systems. The condensers were inspected in November and ours was spotless.

The Mall test with the SB-2000 is still an ongoing project.

2008 has resulted in the sale of electronic water conditioning for the chemically treated cooling tower condenser water system along with the sale of our test units on the sister system of the 2-250 ton cooling systems we tested in 2007. They again inspected the Trane condenser on the 2- 250 ton Electronically treated systems in  and the results were excellent. Both condenser were spotless. We are working on water savings and will be installing water meters on clients and test unit systems bleed-off if they do not have them. Most systems have meters on the make up lines.

We are relocating the coil on the Mall test to a 12 inch line for the two main 600 ton chillers that is a return line to the cooling tower.

In May of 2008 we upgraded the Ft. Lauderdale Mall to 3- WET 2400 Electronic Descalers and unplugged the SB-2000. Although the cost factor would be the same for the 3- WET 2400's the change was due to advanced technology and the results are proving the upgrade is superior.

2009 is proving to be an excellent year. We have installed many more units in the 2007- 2008 dual 250 ton cooling tower system and have documents in for more. The 2-250 ton Coling Tower Condenser systems saved $23,000.00 in water in 2008; versus when they were chemically treated. The upgraded Electronic Descaler and Ionizers are not only competative, but offer superior results to anything else we have worked with. Reports on this site are to follow as we continue this year. The Water District allocated for 7 more Wet 2400 Electronic Descalers and TDI CS 5000 Copper/Silver Ionizers. The school system will have no initial or installation costs!

We have installed a TDI WET-2400 and CS-6000 Copper/Silver Ionizer at a military base for testing. It has operated flawlessly even when the water line to the bleed-off of the cooling tower condenser line was turned off for 5 weeks. We still maintained and cleaned old scale even silica scale with over 40 cycles of concentration. We turned the water suply on after we discovered the chemical man had turned it off and rest to 10 cycles of concentration during clean up. We will turn the cycles of concentratiuon up to 15 cycles in 2010 after the entire system is cleaned.
